3 Ways To Wear A Summer Dress

As girls, it’s all too easy to be tempted by shop windows and the latest fashion must haves. Many a time we will open our wardrobe doors and find nothing to wear. Instead of disregarding last years summer clothes and splashing out on a whole new wardrobe, why not revamp last seasons trends and find new ways to wear some of your old favourites! In this blog we show you how one dress can be worn in 3 different ways, a casual daytime look, a smart daytime and an evening look. Use your dress as the centrepiece of your outfit and accessorise around it with jackets, bags, jewellery and shoes to give each outfit a completely different feel!

Here we have the ‘Glamorous Tunic Lace Dress’ a detailed lace pattern incorporating tones of blue, cream, black and white. The tunic fit is simple with an added collar and concealed zip fastening. This particular dress is very eye catching, so any accessories should be predominantly plain to avoid over powering or clashing. Bold colours are perfect for contrasting and picking out the tones within the dress.

Outfit number 1

The first outfit is a casual daytime look, perfect for a day out shopping or coffee with friends. Here we have teamed our dress with a bold turquoise cardigan which compliments the subtle blue tones in the dress. We have chosen some flat black point toe shoes and a black and white duffle bag, again these two colours are prominent in the dress ensuring every element in the outfit ties together.

Outfit number 2

For our smart daytime outfit we have chosen a black peplum jacket, the detail on the jacket is very girly and figure enhancing while the design remains plain so not to over power the design of the dress. To add a touch of colour to this look we have chosen a blue satchel, again the colour ties in perfectly with the dress and the design of the bag is very smart to match the occasion. For our footwear choice we have gone with a chunky black heel, overall the outfit has a good mix of black and colour against the pale dress at the centre of the outfit.

Outfit number 3

For our evening look we have added some pointed court heels in black, these will add height and the length of the dress will show of your legs to make you look taller. A black leather biker jacket adds a touch of rock n roll while the silver charm earrings bring glamour to the outfit. Again there is a good mix of dark accessories to contrast with the light coloured dress.
